Almost eight out of 10 (79 per cent) of people questioned for an opinion poll want work restrictions on the Eastern European countries (Romania and Bulgaria) to stay...EU rules state that freedom of movement can only be suspended in an "economic emergency".
Students already in the UK are also being deterred by new Rules and draconian immigration decisions seemingly designed to get rid of as many of them as possible. Foreign students see the government's actions as basically saying "go home, we don't want you or your money in the UK".
Options being considered included asking Romanian and Bulgarian immigrants who had not found a job within three months or did not have necessary funds to support themselves for six months to leave.
The UK Border Agency has announced that a newly updated ‘Life in the UK' test handbook will be available to purchase today.

The Shard is London's newest landmark, designed by Master Architect Renzo Piano. From February 1 it will be possible to ascend the building and see views of London usually only afforded to creatures or objects with wings. The View from the Shard takes visitors up 800 feet (244 metres) to the viewing platform on Level 69, the only place you can see all of London, all at once. The 360˚ view extends more than 40 miles (64 km) out to the coast and Windsor Castle on a clear day. Closer to the building are some of London's most famous landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye and Westminster. Those who dare will be able to go up to Level 72, the highest habitable point of The Shard, to stand in the open air 800 ft (244 m) above ground. The shards of glass that meet at the top do not do so perfectly – intended by the architect to give the impression that the building has no end point – and so there are gaps through which the sounds of London can be heard from hundreds of metres high.
