Full time Head Gardener required for an estate in Dorset / Somerset Border. The garden extends to some 34 acres within which are formal and informal areas including borders, walkways, lawns, bulbs and trees. It also includes a walled garden used for the production of vegetables, fruit and flowers. The production of vegetables and flowers is particularly important.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, experienced and have a passion for horticulture so that the gardens are maintained to the highest standard. The successful candidate will be hands-on with good organisational and personnel management skills and be able to work on their own initiative.
Applicants should hold relevant horticultural qualifications and some knowledge of machinery maintenance will be required.
