The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has formally requested the International Police (Interpol) in France, through the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime (PCTC), to place Senator Panfilo Lacson in Red Notice after a warrant of arrest was issued against him.
The NBI submitted the letter request to the PCTC in its office in Camp Crame in Quezon City last Friday, the same day Judge Myra V. Garcia-Fernandez of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 18 issued the arrest warrant against the senator in connection with the November 2000 murder of Salvador “Bubby” Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito.
Lawyer Claro de Castro Jr., chief of the NBI Interpol Division, said once a person is placed in red notice, the Interpol will post the subject in its web, and then the 186 member-countries start locating him. FULL STORY
