NO FOOD FOR WEDDING PARTY LEADS TO ESTAFA CASE

February 11, 2010

A Filipino-Chinese businessman was sued for estafa after he failed to cater the food for a newly-wed couple at the compound of the Davao Prisons and Penal Farm (formerly Davao Penal Colony) in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte, last year.

Benito Ng Suy Jr., owner of Jingle Bakeshope, was accused before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) for his failure to deliver the food being ordered by Glen Estepona, an event organizer and proprietor of Events Library in Bajada, this city.

In his complaint, Estepona said that he was hired as an event organizer for the wedding of couple Erwin and Rachel Gamao on Dec. 18, 2009 and he had contracted with Ng Suy for the food. FULL STORY
