British retirees are being lured to South-East Asia by the ease of getting a long-term visa, the better weather and the low cost of living. The number of retired Brits moving every year to countries like Thailand and the Philippines is in the thousands.

Home Office appointed firm send text messages to legal migrants telling them to ‘leave the UK’

The private firm appointed by the Home Office to trace 174,000 illegal overstaying students has been accused by immigration advisers of breaking the law by sending ‘deportation orders’ by text message to migrants who were legally entitled to stay in the UK or had already left.

Police and UK Border Agency work together to deport foreign criminals

London’s Scotland Yard says more than 175 foreign criminals have been deported under a new crackdown carried out in a joint operation with UK border officials.
