Demon dentist and fraudster forged High Court documents

Ressie Reyes Macaraeg could get up to seven years in a British jail over one document, albeit a badly forged one

The crucial forged document is an altered Judicial Review notification issued by the High Court (pictured below) in London which she gave to one of her victims as "proof" that she was actively helping them to get a working visa (the husband was on a student visa with his wife as a dependant).

Added to which, she stupidly left on the document the name and details of her own lawyers, possibly to make it look real. This mistake will be costly to Macaraeg.

The victims had paid Macaraeg and Gladys Canal a total of £3,700 to get an employer to sponsor a working (Tier 4) visa in the UK, which is a familiar story to all Macaraeg's victims.

The victims eventually got tired of Macaraeg's stalling, and after having seen the first of the articles in Balita Pinoy last summer, went to Harley Street and retrieved the documents. The victims then went to the law firm Farani Taylor, which was named on the forged Judicial Review notification. as the victims presumed they would know all about their particular case and details. 

The lawyer he spoke to informed him he was unaware of their circumstances, and was then handed the "Judicial Review" letter. The lawyer then checked within that law firm's system and could not recognize it as having been one of theirs. It was therefore quickly apparent that something was seriously wrong.

When the lawyer discovered what had happened, he immediately contacted the relevant office in the High Court to check on its [the Judicial Review's] authenticity and notify the High Court of the existence of the forgery. (A Judicial Review is a legal process challenging the way a British government department has come to a decision, it does not specifically challenge the decision, but has a similar effect)

The crucial document above was confirmed by the High Court to Balita Pinoy as a forgery, it is one of several that had been given to victims by "Dr" Ressie Macaraeg

The victim has told Balita Pinoy that the lawyer was visibly shaken by this discovery, and a spokeman for Farani Taylor said: "They [the victims] attended our office, we checked our office database and informed them that someone had used our name and we were not representing them and had consequently and obviously not lodged any Judicial Review on their behalf."

The spokesman added "In any event we were quite shocked and disgusted to learn that our name had been used by a third party. We immediately contacted the High Court to inform them that we were not a party to the said Judicial Review. At this point we were informed by the HMCTS Operator that actually no Judicial Review had been lodged by the said name at the Administrative Court and the reference number was correct but belonged to another individual."

Farani Taylor, who are a medium sized law firm specializing in immgration with 19 lawyers and para-legals, are now handling the victim's immigration procedures. It is clear they were totally unaware of Macareg's forgery until the victim and his wife went by chance to their office.

Up until recently, it was thought that Macaraeg had only forged UK Border Agency letters to fool her victims. With the revelation of the forgery of High Court documents, this is taken to a new level.

With at least 350 victims now listed, not only Filipinos but Indians as well, the scope of this fraud is growing daily.

to 2pak: Sige, hanap ko sex scandal sa youporn. Sigurado ko may tinatago yang Ressie na yan. Rumor ko na naririnig, may kalaguyo daw yan na puti. Kawawa naman asawa niya.

Nakita ko ang link "ABS-CBN News Video on Macaraeg". Nakakahiya ka, Ressie. Pinagkukunan mo ng pinapakain sa anak mo galing sa masama! Anong utak mayroon ka? Higit £1 million nakuha sa kapwa Pilipino! Huminahon ka naman, tirhan mo naman kami! I've read some of the articles here. Apparently, there was a court hearing in one of the London courts sometime in December but she did not appear in court. Nasaan siya? Obviously nagtatago. Pero saan kaya?! Dalawa lang ang guess ko. Baka umuwi na ng Pilipinas o nagpustlit sa America. Ask mo sa mga Filipino community dito sa UK and most of them will say baka nagtatago na siya sa US. Kawawa naman mga niloko niya dito sa UK. Dapat i-extradite siya from wherever she is back to the UK.

Letter to the editor of Balita Pinoy, I feel that I must respond to your article on Ocean Recruitment Agency 127 Harley Street, run by Ressie Macaraeg. It is my understanding that there was a close team of Filipino staff employed by Ressie. All the members of staff were Glory Mae Abarrita, Melanie (surname unknown), Love Calamba and Gladys Canal. According to sources Glory Mae, Melanie and Love were receiving £300 a week cash in hand. They were also getting free food, accommodation, transportation (i.e. taxis everywhere) and also they were eating in the best restaurants, staying in 4 star hotels when they traveled with Ressie. They were also members in one of the top leisure clubs in London (David Llyods- Gym, Health and Fitness Club) address 116 Cromwell Road London SW7 4XR. For 18 months they were enjoying the PERKS OF THE JOB, so why are they coming out now against Ocean Recruitment Agency? They were receiving £300 a week for 18 months cash in hand, do the maths??? They were part of the fraud for 18 months and all of a sudden they are the victims. As for Gladys Canal(agents right hand) was receiving approximately £500 per applicant. All of the above mentioned, in their own way were part of the scam.

To the concern citizen who i think is just Ressie's "Relatives or close friends", before you say such things make sure allegations are accurate! how are u sure that they work for 18months with her???? have u met them??? whats y0ur proof??? yah there salary is £300 a week with free as what you've said... but c0me to think of that, Ressie employed them in a live-in basis knowing she only have a one bedroom flat at earls court london. taxi??? the demon doesnt want the tube especially the bus because its overcrowded, so she wants to ride a taxi and to the fact that they live with her ofcourse you would expect the secretaries will go with her in the office riding the taxi as well... best restaurants??? eat her lie out! shes the one who doesnt want to eat in a cheaper food chains! she dont wanna eat alone so she will bring her secretaries even the 3 of them already refused. Anyway a million thanks to George and balita pinoy for exposing this Demon Ressie Reyes Macaraeg and her accomplice, without you the authorities woudn't able to know about this and there would be no justice to all the victims. Thank you also to all the brave witnesses who don't hesitate to tell the truth and testify against Ressie.

There are 2 sides in every story kaya let's nOt get blinded sa isang side lang. Sana bago magbitiw ng mga komento, alamin nyo muna buong kwento, wag tayo magpadala sa kung anong nararamdaman naten. Kung di nyo kilala personally sila melanie, manahimik na lang kayo. Nagkakamali kayo sa mga inaakusa nyo sa kanya/ sa kanila.. Kung nagtrabaho man sila kay ressie yon ay dahil wala na syang choice, wala ang pinangakong visa and worst wala din Pera. Ilang buwan silang di sinuwelduhan sa 3 months nyang nagwork don. Sana tingnan nyo mabuti ang situation nila bago kayo maghusga. Kung totoong nagsamantala sila sa pera na ibInayad ng mga students, sana maganda na buhay nila pero kabaliktaran yon. Kaya yung mga walang alam dyan, wala din kayo pinag iba kay ressie. Nabiktima na tayo ng mga kasinungalingan nya kaya wag naman naten ipasa sa iba na wala naman kasalanan.

isa rin ako sa mga na victima nya last namin kita ni Dr. liar reyes noong December 06 2011 and December 07 2011,12:59 am, at naka record po ang mga pinag-usapan namin kasama namin ang solicitor nya. sa ngayon po nandito na ako sa pinas umuwi po ako dahil TNT nako for 7 mons na dko alam dahil ang refusal letter na pinadala ng homeoffice eh direct po pala sa office nya sa 127 harly street, binigay ko po ang pera noong 3rd week of march 2011, £4000 po ang binigay ko para sa work permit na sabi nya at nandoon mga staff nya sina GLADYS CANAL, LOVE CALAMBA, GLORY MAE,MELANIE.

Wow!!!... I did not know Ressie's Mom (Emma Ramos) is also involved in this scam! Sabi nga nila, it runs in the family. Totoo pala! I remember this Emma Ramos from way back. She came here in the UK some years back on Tourist Visa to attend some family occassion (maybe to attend birthday or christening or anniversary). Paalam daw niya sa British Embassy sa Manila ay 3 weeks lang daw siya dito sa UK. Nung lumaon, 6 months pala siya nag-stay dito. For those 6 months, nag-trabaho siya as cleaner, yaya atbp. which was illegal kasi Tourist Visa lang ang hawak niya. After 6 months, umuwi na sa Pinas. Doon niya nalaman na medyo maganda pala ang kumita sa UK kahit illegal ang papel niya. After a few weeks, nag-apply na naman siya sa British Embassy sa Manila. Ang tsismis noon ay na-deny daw siya sa Embassy, kumuha ng lawyer at nag-appeal. She was given a Tourist Visa again in the end. When she arrived back in the UK, nag-trabaho na naman siya eventhough wala siyang papel. After some time, nag-lapse na din ang Tourist Visa niya at nag-lakas loob na mag-TNT. Tuloy pa rin ang pag-wowork niya kahit illegal. She managed to stay TNT for at least a few years until she was found out by Immigration. She was hand-cuffed by Immigration, was crying and was DEPORTED back to the Phils. Ang nakapagtataka ay bakit nakukuha pa ni Emma na ma-involve sa scam na pinangungunahan ng anak niyang si Ressie, eh may first-hand knowledge na siya sa mga bagay na ito. Such cliches could definitely apply to this Ramos-Reyes-Macaraeg family of scam artists. Ika nga, "you can never teach new(good) things to old dogs (who are used to doing bad things" and "it runs in the family (ang kawalanghiyan nilang pinag-gagawa)."

Hey guys.... i know that a lot of people have already heard about this story about Ressie Macaraeg. I know for sure that this family - Ressie and her husband (who runs Nettrex balikbayan box) are both self-employed. Why don't we/you spread this story to the widest audience so that both their businesses collapse. Don't patronise/use Nettrex and tell all Filipinos about this. Set up a Facebook account for Ressie's scams, open up a blog or introduce it on internet forums. Maybe, just maybe, when when they try to find employment after their businesses collapse would they find out how hard it is to find a job after their criminal record. I don't think any respectable company would employ such individuals as Ressie knowing how karumaldumal her actions/criminal records were. Doon nila malalaman kung gaano kahirap pala. Someone mentioned that Ressie might be in the US. Well, she can only stay in the US for a maximum of 3 months on a US Tourist Visa Waiver programme. After that, she has to come back to the UK, unless she plans to go TNT also in the US! If that happens, she will find it hard to come back to the UK, has a TNT status in the US and she would only have one recourse but to go back to the Phils. HOpefully, doon na siya mag-hihirap. Magsasama na rin ang masamang mag-ina!!

I've been following the RESSIE MACARAEG-Ocean Recruitment Agency SAGA with interest. What really amazes me is why all the UNFORTUNATE FILIPINOS and other NATIONALITIES who got caught up in the recruitment SCAM do not report the case at Westminster POLICE STATION (close to Harley St.where she used to operate from) Each applicant must file their grievances/complaints to the police station,THEN and only THEN will CHARGES BE MADE that there's a proof of the SCAM.SO FILIPINOS PLEASE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, STOP TALKING AND DO SOMETHING IF YOU WANT JUSTICE, DONT BE AFRAID TO COME FORWARD. To all those making comments about this case why are you writing in your own language? so we can not understand what you you are writing, half English n half filo, I know for a fact that many students were ripped off by Joanna Bartolabac,Talip,Canal and Ressie Macaraeg > how about Joanne come clean and admit she has stolen n conned many Phillopines in the UK.
