Ressie Macaraeg Bankruptcy Creditor Form

An officer of the Insolvency Service of the United Kingdom, the Official Receiver (OR) is an officer of the court to which he is attached. The OR is therefore answerable to the courts for carrying out the courts' orders and for fulfilling his duties under law. He also acts on directions, instructions and guidance from the Service's Inspector General or, less often, from the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.

Responsibilities

An OR has the following responsibilities:

• acting as interim receiver or provisional liquidator: At any time after a petition for an insolvency order under s122 of the Insolvency act 1986 has been presented, the court may appoint the OR as interim receiver (for an individual) or as provisional liquidator (for a company). This is to protect a debtor's property, or take control of a company' affairs, pending the outcome of the hearing of the petition;
• acting as receiver, trustee or liquidator: The OR becomes receiver and manager when a court makes a bankruptcy order against an individual. The OR becomes the first liquidator when the court makes a winding up order against a company. The OR is responsible for protecting the assets of the insolvent person or company and will take immediate steps to secure any property or other assets. If no private sector insolvency practitioner (IP) is subsequently appointed, the OR becomes the trustee of the insolvent person's estate or the liquidator or remains the liquidator of the company; and
• acting as supervisor: in a fast-track voluntary arrangement proposed by a bankrupt.

The bankrupt or the company directors must give the OR information about their own or the company's affairs. The OR will interview them, examine their financial records, and make background enquiries of others who have had dealings with them (e.g. banks, accountants etc.). In every case, the OR reports to creditors and shareholders giving details of assets and liabilities.

Depending on the nature and monetary value of the assets, the OR may arrange a meeting of the creditors (and of contributories in a winding up) to consider appointing an IP to act as trustee or liquidator in his place. Alternatively, the OR may consult the creditors and ask the Secretary of State to appoint an IP. (This is usually done when such an appointment needs to be made quickly - for instance, when there are large amounts of perishable goods).

If an IP is appointed, the OR will hand over administration. Otherwise, the OR acts as trustee or liquidator to sell the assets, distribute the proceeds to creditors, and complete the administration of the estate (mostly achieved within 12 months of the insolvency order). Whether or not the OR continues as trustee or liquidator, he remains responsible for investigating the insolvent's affairs.

Sir/madam: kung pwede sanang paki-proof read itong article na ito, please? Hindi ko alam kung iyong mababang IQ ko, but I find some parts of this article hard to comprehend. I'm not here to lambast the author pero nahihirapan lang talaga ako. Salamat.

It is very simple; Macaraeg was made bankrupt 6 weeks ago. She did not notify the Official Receiver of all her creditors, i.e. all those who paid her to transfer visas, which by law she was supposed to do. The form will allow all those victims to notify the Official Receiver who they are, the number of them, and this in the hope of the possibility of a payout if and when the Official Receiver discover any assets belonging to Macaraeg. Also, if the Official Receiver sees by the number of responses (forms) a pattern of bad conduct, they can take further action.

Also, she need to be challenged for masquerading as a qualified dentist. She needs to be tried and dealt with by the full force of the law. In the UK she could face prison.

If she do ever go to jail, I think it will be served in the UK rather than in Philippines. Letter to the editor of Balita Pinoy, I feel that I must respond to your article on Ocean Recruitment Agency 127 Harley Street, run by Ressie Macaraeg. It is my understanding that there was a close team of Filipino staff employed by Ressie. All the members of staff were Glory Mae Abarrita, Melanie (surname unknown), Love Calamba and Gladys Canal. According to sources Glory Mae, Melanie and Love were receiving £300 a week cash in hand. They were also getting free food, accommodation, transportation (i.e. taxis everywhere) and also they were eating in the best restaurants, staying in 4 star hotels when they traveled with Ressie. They were also members in one of the top leisure clubs in London (David Llyods- Gym, Health and Fitness Club) address 116 Cromwell Road London SW7 4XR. For 18 months they were enjoying the PERKS OF THE JOB, so why are they coming out now against Ocean Recruitment Agency? They were receiving £300 a week for 18 months cash in hand, do the maths??? They were part of the fraud for 18 months and all of a sudden they are the victims. As for Gladys Canal(agents right hand) was receiving approximately £500 per applicant. All of the above mentioned, in their own way were part of the scam.

I've been following the RESSIE MACARAEG-Ocean Recruitment Agency SAGA with interest. What really amazes me is why all the UNFORTUNATE FILIPINOS and other NATIONALITIES who got caught up in the recruitment SCAM do not report the case at Westminster POLICE STATION (close to Harley St.where she used to operate from) Each applicant must file their grievances/complaints to the police station,THEN and only THEN will CHARGES BE MADE that there's a proof of the SCAM.SO FILIPINOS PLEASE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, STOP TALKING AND DO SOMETHING IF YOU WANT JUSTICE, DONT BE AFRAID TO COME FORWARD. ILLEGALS OR NOT, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET JUSTICE DONE.

The problem is the victims do not know each other they dont even know where to find Ressie now, bec.she turn off her phone & not replying anymore. But the sec. in Harley St. manage to get some cp nos. of the victims. A month ago last Dec. i heard she moved out from Harley St., but she never inform the victims where is she now, she run away.

I and my friend went to the police station to report Ressie Macaraeg but sad to say that the Police coud'nt help because they said its a civil matter and they cannot act on that. They advised us to go in Ressie's office and if ever she yells or presents any abuse on us then thats the time we can call the police to intervene. The police officer I spoke with advised us also to get a lawyer and get in touch with the immigration officers. I have reported the case to UKBA and they are very much aware because of too many complaints, but they cannot help because Ocean care is not a registered recruitment agency.
