MARCOS: WHY & HOW HE LOST AS DICTATOR

It is 24 years since the momentous changes that ended the Marcos Dictatorship, EDSA 1, bringing in the Aquino administration and restoring democracy to the Philippines.

There are still some mysteries surrounding the last days; was it a true revolution or was it like the ending of the Ceauşescu regime in Romania which was a coup, a mistake as happened in Czechoslovakia when the hardliners wanted to start something to keep in power, but underestimated how far the populace would go?

Or was it a real people's power?

The following may go some way to answer the questions that still persist to this day.
