The family of slain publicist Salvador "Bubby" Dacer on Friday opposed the plea of Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson to recall the warrant of arrest issued against him.
Lawyers Demetrio Custodio Jr., Eloysa Sicam and Love Joy Cecilia Brillantes, who represent the Dacer family, also opposed the motion of the senator seeking for voluntary inhibition of Judge Myra V. Garcia-Fernandez, of Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 18.
Custodio, in an opposition to Lacson's motion for reconsideration (MR), which was filed at the Manila RTC Branch 18 last Friday, said the judge should deny the senators' request since there was sufficient evidence on record that would lead a reasonable a man to believe that the accused committed murder.
