Nearly three months after the gruesome incident, the government prosecution has finally ruled on the case finding probable cause for the filing of 57 counts of murder against the patriarch of a powerful political clan in the South along with 15 others over their participation in the so-called “Maguindanao massacre” late last year.
In a 78-page resolution on the case written by Senior State Prosecutor Leo Dacera, suspended Maguindanao Gov. Andal Ampatuan Sr. and 15 others, including his sons, have been slapped with 57 counts of murder for the deaths of the same number of people in a mass murder incident last November in Maguindanao.
The 15 are Datu Unsay town, Maguindanao Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr.; Nords Ampatuan; Akmad Ampatuan; Datu Saudi Ampatuan Jr.; Datu Bahnarin Ampatuan; Datu Sajid Islam Ampatuan; Datu Akmad “Tato” Ampatuan Sr.; Datu Zaldy Ampatuan; Datu Kanor Ampatuan; Datu Anwar Ampatuan; Datu Mama Ampatuan; Sukarno Badal; Datu Ulo Ampatuan; Datu Jimmy Ampatuan; Kagi Faizal; Mogira Hadji Anggulat; Jun Pendatun; Hamid Delayudin; Pedro Fudolig y Nesma; Parido Zangkala Gogo; P/Chief Inspector Zukarno Dicay y Adil; P/Inspector Saudi Mukamad;
The same resolution also brought down the same charges on 196 civilian paramilitary volunteers and policemen.
